Originally licensed in California in 2003, and first licensed in Oregon in 2013, Doug has represented numerous buyers and sellers in the Portland metropolitan areas. Doug has gained plenty of firsthand experience in the representation of buyers and sellers having managed hundreds of escrows through completion. It is obvious that he takes great pleasure and pride in his work, and he finds it an honor to assist with anyone’s real estate needs.
Doug has experience in new construction, resale, investment, luxury and historical properties. His well-rounded knowledge base reflects his genuine passion for real estate. Doug began walking through open houses when he was just thirteen years old. His grandmother, a daughter of an architect, shared her love and enthusiasm of homes with him well into his adulthood. He has grown to deeply appreciate the sense of home and how meaningful the right home can be to a family.
Not only does Doug have a special eye for homes, but he is also keen on recommending remodeling or decorating schemes in order to personalize the home to a buyer’s taste. As he has owned a few homes of his own that he has renovated to suit his style, he has ample experience customizing a home to suit particular taste.
Moreover, Doug has superior interpersonal skills which have allowed him to seamlessly facilitate interactions between buyer and seller. With a BA in Sociology from UCLA and a Masters in Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, Doug has a baseline education helpful to working with people and negotiating business transactions in good faith and with respect to his client’s needs.
Doug has a family of his own in Forest Heights where he lives with his partner and 10 year old daughter. Doug enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, beach visits, walking his golden retriever (Bentley), playing with his 4 cats, reading non-fiction, and last but certainly not least, spending quality time with his daughter and partner.
