Amanda has been a Realtor in Oregon since 2005. Originally from Idaho, her family bounced around between California, Idaho and Minnesota before finally settling in Oregon in 1993. Her father worked at the old Carnation factory that still sits along 1st street in Hillsboro. She graduated From Hillsboro High School in 1997 and went on to study journalism and communications at Mt. Hood Community College. During this time, she met her husband and they married in 2002.
In 2005 she became a Realtor and worked at a local company based out of Tigard. This gave her experience working the Beaverton area. In the late 2000’s she had the opportunity to work with an investor and flip homes. This experience gave her the knowledge to look at any Portland property and assess value with confidence. She was responsible for purchasing properties at auction, often determining value sight unseen.
As the market shifted in the Portland area in the late 2010’s, Amanda primarily became a residential agent. She is excellent at multiple-offer situations, as both a buyer’s and seller’s agent. One of her greatest joys as a buyer’s agent is touring potential properties… she loves the excitement and anticipation of helping someone find their new home. She could also work as a travel/food-and-drink guide because she knows many of the best little places to stop and enjoy.
As a seller’s agent, she brings experience from her days of flipping and hard negotiating. She knows how to anticipate how the process will go from the day we list until the day we record. She will listen to what her clients want and do her best to deliver. Getting your home ready to sell can be stressful, but Amanda can help with staging advice and connect with other resources. She has even been known to pack boxes or clean a kitchen for clients, or even deliver pizza during moving. Amanda is great at helping her sellers get to the finish line and will provide a very personalized experience.
When she’s not working, Amanda loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, especially at the Oregon Coast.
